DUSL Programs

DUSL offers a number of different playing opportunities for players of all different levels. Players are grouped by age categories (click here for the age group table for this year).

The Division 1, Division 3, and Super-8 programs require tryouts prior to team selection. At the tryout, players are evaluated in a group environment and selected to teams based on ability and need. Players not selected to Division 1, Division 3, or Super-8 teams are placed in a player pool and allocated to Division 4 teams.

Division 1 and Division 3 teams incur expenses beyond those covered by the standard DUSL registration fees. These teams typically use professional trainers and participate in fee-based tournaments throughout the year. In addition, Division 1 and Division 3 teams are required to purchase competitive team uniforms for use during the playing season.

The table below describes the programs offered by DUSL:

Program Description

Division 1

(Under-9 to Under-19)

The Division 1 program is the most competitive program offered by DUSL. This program is for players with the highest level of commitment and ability. Division 1 teams typically participate in soccer programs throughout the entire year.

Division 1 teams play in the Golden State Soccer League (GSSL) which includes all of Alameda and Contra Costa counties. In addition, Division 1 teams typically participate in several Northern California tournaments per year and occasionally travel out of the area.

Division 3

(Under-9 to Under-19)

The Division 3 program is for players that want to play in a competitive environment but who do not have the ability or commitment to play in Division 1. Division 3 teams typically start in early July and participate in soccer programs through January.

Division 3 teams play in the Al Caffodio (AC) League which includes teams from Danville to Fremont. In addition, Division 3 teams typically participate in several Northern California tournaments per year.

Division 4

(Under-5 to Under-19)

The Division 4 program is for players that wish to participate in soccer in a recreational setting. Division 4 teams typically start in July and participate in programs through November.

Division 4 teams play in a house league consisting of teams from Dublin and sometimes neighboring clubs.

Super-8's

(Under-8)

The "Super-8" team is a team of Under-8 players that competes against Under-10 players in our house league. It is an accelerated program designed to help advanced players prepare for playing in Division 1 and Division 3 leagues in following years.
