Tracy United Invitational Champions – 2nd Year in a Row
The Dublin Crush took the U-14 championship in a 12 team group at the Tracy Invitational on 8/8 with a 2-1 victory over the Hayward Leon. In preliminary games, The Crush defeated Diablo Pride 2-0, Rangers Arsenal 4-0 and Mustang Xplosion 1-0. Top offensive players for the Crush were Summer Nugen with 4 goals and Hunter Garcia with 3 goals. The defense was led by goalie Jasmine Dohemann and Jordyn Beach.
The Crush posted 3 shutouts on their way to the finals where they took on Hayward Leon and won 2-1. Excellent play by the whole team lead to their 2nd Championship in this event.

U-15G Dublin Hurricanes Take 1st Place at San Luis Obispo Tourney |

 Dublin Hurricanes, 2010 San Luis Obispo Tournament Champions
The U-15G Dublin Hurricanes took first place at the San Luis Obispo North vs South tournament last weekend. Dublin won three of four games, allowing only one goal over the weekend. The Hurricanes clinched the championship with a 1-0 victory over the Central Coast Condors. Jesy Nelson scored on a volley from Kelly Radu to seal the win. Dublin also beat Pleasanton Rage AC 2-1 on goals from McKenzie Cooper and Emma Neckar and beat Diablo FC Blue 1-0 on a goal from Jesy Nelson.
Michelle McQuiston recorded three shutouts in goal for Dublin. Hannah Neckar, Hannah Wolf, Jillian Colwell, Caitlin Benoit, and Mackenzie Rendich were outstanding for the Hurricanes defense. Dilpreet Anand, Emma Schoenthal, Aari Lyijynen, and Hadeel Rasheed helped key the Dublin attack.

U-14G Tri-Valley finish 1st place at Ajax Invitational |

The Dublin Tri-Valley Under-14 girls took 1st place in the Silver Division at the Ajax Winter Invitational tournament last weekend in Turlock. Dublin completed the round-robin tournament with 4 shutouts resulting in 3 wins and 1 draw.
After a 0-0 game against Sacramento United, Dublin scored successive 1-0 victories against Golden Valley Sharpshooters and Sunnyvale Fusion. Emma Neckar scored the game winners in both games. In the final game, Dublin beat Juventus 2-0 behind goals from Michelle McQuiston. Olivia Brown played goalie in all 4 games for Dublin. Hannah Neckar, Kaycee Davis, Mackenzie Rendich, Jillian Colwell, and Kelly Radu anchored a strong Dublin defense. Jesy Nelson, Caitlyn Murray, Bridget Heins, Caitlin Benoit, Rachel Fuller, McKenzie Cooper, and Emma Schoenthal helped in the Dublin attack.

The Dublin Tri-Valley U-14 Girls “blazed” to a championship win in the first annual Dublin Premier Fall Classic, which took place September 26/27.

The Dublin Eagles, an U-16 Division 3 team, challenged themselves by entering their first Division 1 tournament of the season. Their tremendous effort , playing all games in the sweltering heat, earned them a spot in the Silver Championship.

Santa Cruz beach soccer — June 20/21 |

On June 20-21, four of Dublin United’s Premier teams took part in the Santa Cruz Beach Soccer Championships. This is an annual event held on the Beach Boardwalk, details can be found here . It features 5 v. 5 soccer played barefoot in the sand with goalkeepers and mini-goals. Click “More” below for details and pictures.

Dublin United has announced its Premier Goalkeeper Development program for 2009. This program is designed for the Premier-level goalkeeper who is interested in developing his/her skills to compete at the highest competitive levels. The program will be run by the Club’s Goalkeeper Director, Andy Cumbo. Sessions will be 1 hour long and will be split up according to age and skill level of the goalkeepers. This is an 18-week program. Training for Dublin United Premier goalkeepers will begin the week of July 6 and ends the week of November 2. There is no additional cost to goalkeepers or Premier teams for this program. Click here for a flyer describing the Premier GK Development program.
