Dublin United Soccer Camps … |
(Posted 07/07/2010 by president)
Dublin United’s first year of summer camps is off to a great start. Over 60 players from the DUSL programs attended our first ever soccer camp at the Dublin Sports Grounds. The camp staff, comprised of DUSL staff coaches and local college players, all did an exemplary job of providing a fun and challenging experience for the players in attendance. Technical Director Nick Lusson had this to say about the camps, “these camps are a great opportunity for our players to get extra training, have some fun, and get the opportunity to interact with our different staff coaches. We strongly believe that a strong camp program can lead to building a much stronger club culture as players from different teams, ages, and levels all get to interact with one another. We all had a great time out there in the first week and are looking forward to our other two weeks of camp in July.”

U-14G Tri-Valley finish 2nd in NorCal State Cup finals |
(Posted 05/10/2010 by president)
The Under-14 girls Tri-Valley team came from behind to force a 1-1 double overtime tie before bowing to the Rocklin Strikers in penalty kicks 4-3 in the NorCal State Cup Gold division finals.
After giving up a goal at the end of the first half, Dublin United applied pressure throughout the second half finally scoring the tying goal after a cross from Michelle McQuiston was hammered home by Emma Neckar. The game was a tight battle throughout in which both teams had scoring opportunties. The Dublin United defense led by goalie Baylee Akins, Jillian Colwell, Mackenzie Rendich, Hannah Wolf, Dilpreet Anand, and Hannah Neckar did an outstanding job of frustrating Rocklin. Jesy Nelson, Emma Schoenthal, Kelly Radu, Kaycee Davis, and McKenzie Cooper provided strong midfield play with Caitlyn Murray and Caitlin Benoit applying pressure up top.
